Nasseam (She/Her/Hers) is a passionate and knowledgeable about health and wellness and taking care of the inner self in order to live a purposeful life. Nasseam has multidisciplinary experience in several areas including public health, hospice support and bereavement, chronic disease management, and child health and welfare. Nasseam is especially skilled in designing and supporting programs for mothers and infants, working with LGBTQ+ young people, and providing supportive services for individuals living with HIV and AIDS. Nasseam is also a believer that reducing adverse childhood experiences and trauma in the community will improve the overall physical and mental health of the people within those communities.
Nasseam is also an advocate for social justice and equity in all spaces. She has a successful history working in government and not for profit organizations and has held executive leadership positions within the Department of Health since 2012. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of South Florida and went on to earn her Master of Social Work from the Florida State University. She later decided to add to her education and completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Nasseam provides a holistic approach to her work with individuals and encourages clients to meditate to support clinical healing process. She evaluates individuals within the context of their environment and provides encouragement and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She is supportive and patient and can assist with healing from trauma, building self-worth, improving communication in relationships and goal attainment. Nasseam utilizes a multidimensional approach to therapy, exploring each individual's biological, psychological, social and spiritual needs. Nasseam can also provide support to those seeking counseling based on Christian biblical teachings upon request. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help build on their strengths and attain authentic growth and recovery.
