Finding the right therapist for you can be difficult. You might not even know what you should be looking for in a therapist. Allow me to introduce myself and see if I am the right therapist for you. My name is Dr. Treshonda Baucom and I am here for you.
Background
For over seven years, I have been grateful to have helped children, teenagers, and young adults with therapeutic services near Clermont, Florida. I have also served as a Pre-K ESE teacher, kindergarten teacher, VE teacher, and an administrative dean.
I am also currently serving as a college professor in the Metro-Orlando area. I am incredibly passionate about working with children, teenagers, and young adults and supporting overwhelmed parents.
Education
I proudly studied and earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University. I also pursued additional education from Argosy University, earning my Doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision. I am always looking to educate and learn more to be the best support system for my clients consistently.
Continued Education
An additional way I am improving myself for my client’s benefit is by working through the process of becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
What is a Registered Play Therapist? Well, great question. It requires an additional 150 hours of graduate studies plus an additional year of supervision. This helps me better support families with children who might do better in therapy situations who need to express themselves while playing and keeping their minds engaged.

My life dedication is to helping children, teenagers, and young adults. Also, I want to support and assist the parents who feel hopeless at night. Those who aren’t sure what they are doing “wrong” because you aren’t wrong. Sometimes we need a helping hand, and I want to be that for as many people as possible.
